Coming from a non horsey background I started riding age 7 at the local riding school.
Aged 16 I left school to take up the position of working pupil at Patsy Bartrams yard in Derbyshire. This was the start of my dressage career and the beginning of my interest in breeding. The 4 years that I spent there training with Patsy and Paul Fielder put in place the foundations of my understanding of of training and focused me on my future in dressage. In 2002 I became the BD talent spotting winner and went on to win my first regional title and had several placings at the nationals on clients horses.
In 2005 I had the opportunity to go and work in Germany for 6 months at the yard of Hannes Baumgart. Hannes has produced horses such as Warum Nicht (Isobel Werth) and Walk on top (Louise Nathhorst) and it was a fantastic experience to ride horses that he had trained to grand prix.
When I returned to the UK I went to work for Woodlander Stud. At Woodlander I was responsible for the training and competing of the young horses and stallions and started training with Isobel Wessels.
In 2008 I accepted the job of rider at High Hoes Stud in West Sussex. I have continued my training with Isobel Wessels and competed successfully on horses that I have had right from the beginning.
I have won medium and advanced medium regional titles with High Hoes Dajana and 3 regional titles with High Hoes Sidonie who I have produced to PSG level.
